[NFBV-Alexandria] Animal control- red fox

Hi everyone,

We somehow have a red fox in the backyard seen by the neighbors then my dad
saw it on our deck the other day. The neighbors say it might be hiding
under the shed.

I called the animal control and they transferred me to the Fairfax police
department. I explained the situation but they only come out if the animal
is injured, laying dead or stationary.

Now my question is, what if I stepped out the backyard to throw trash and
the fox is there and jumps on me? How am I suppose to know its out there?
Visually impaired here. Shall I ready my white cane to smack the fox. Lol.

Anyway, any advice here would be appreciated.
