Webmaster Wanted for NFB of Virginia Website

Several years ago, the National Federation of the Blind of Virginia started
its own website (www.nfbv.org). Since then, the look and content of its
pages has become the standard by which other states' websites are compared.

Tessah Latson (our webmaster for the last year and a half) is moving out
west to pursue her professional goals and the NFB of Virginia is looking for
someone to succeed her. Being the new NFBV webmaster will enable you to work
with the latest content management technologies hosted by Real Time Sites
(www.realtimesites.com) and to work with chapters and the state organization
to keep the content updated and pertinent for optimal communication both
within the affiliate and to the general public interested in our activities.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their skills
working with the web and the latest content management systems while gaining
valuable work experience that can help toward a future career. All that is
required from applicants is their desire to learn as well as an eagerness to
continue the website's reputation of excellence in bringing the activities
of the NFB of Virginia to the public. Familiarity with the Microsoft Office
Suite (Word, etc.) and a good sense of organization and content
structure/flow for web navigation is encouraged as the website expands and
grows in content. HTML coding is NOT required as this is a content
management administrative capacity that enables Word to HTML uploads.

This is a non-paid position that requires on average an hour of time per
week based on updates and items that get received to post and organize on
the website. However, the experience and contacts gained are very valuable.
For more information or to apply, contact Webmaster Tessah Latson at
