Subject: Big News!

All:

You might recall that Richard Sorey transferred from the Regional
Manager's position in Norfolk to the role of Business Enterprise Program
Manager about five weeks ago as Dave Kennedy retired. I appreciate
Rich's willingness to Assume the challenge of managing this unique and
demanding program. Rich has immersed himself in learning about the law,
regulations and policies governing the vending facility program, while
simultaneously building relationships with the licensed blind vendors,
building hosts and other government officials.

Today, Rich has informed me of his intent to resign from DBVI to pursue
another career opportunity. Effective November 1, Rich will begin his
new duties as the Director of the Office of Blind Services, Mississippi
Department of Rehabilitation Services. For now, Rich plans to separate
from the agency during the last week of this month.

During the past few years, under Rich's tutelage, the Norfolk Regional
Office has led the way in producing successful employment outcomes for
consumers. The NRO staff has been engaged in their communities,
initiating new services and approaches to better serve its clientele.

Please join me in congratulating Mr. Sorey on this big career move.
Virginia's loss is Mississippi's gain.

We'll say, "See you later", rather than good bye. Rich will forever be
part of the DBVI family (and we won't let him forget it).
