[Nfbv-announce] Passing of Don Galloway

Dear All,

 

I heard from Michelle Clark (National Harbor Chapter, NFB of MD) this
morning that Don Galloway passed away in California last night. He had gone
out to California to receive an award in August, and was unable to travel
home due to a resulting infection. He had been in hospice care.

 

I'll be attending the DC convention this Friday and Saturday speaking for
Metro. If anyone would like me to pass a message along to the affiliate,
I'll be happy to do so.

 

As to a memorial service for Don, nothing has yet been planned. I understand
the funeral/burial will be in California and a memorial service will be held
in the future in DC.
