[Nfbv-announce] Belmont's Third Annual Beeping Egg Hunt

We have been asked to spread the word about an upcoming beeping Easter egg
hunt. The details are below:

Subject: Belmont's Third Annual Beeping Egg Hunt

 

I'm hoping the National Federation of the Blind of Virginia can help me
spread the word about our 3rd Annual Beeping Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 12
from 1-3 pm, rain or shine.  The event is free and will provide visually
impaired and blind individuals and their families an opportunity to
participate in a non-traditional Easter egg hunt. 

 

The specially designed plastic Easter eggs, donated by Stafford County-based
International Association of Bomb Technicians and Investigators, emit a
beeping sound that allows visually impaired children to retrieve the eggs
using their sense of hearing. The event will also include touch tours of
Gari Melcher's studio and home, which will allow visitors to explore various
features of Belmont with their sense of touch. Games, healthy snacks, a
visit with the Easter bunny, and a "Touch a Tractor" station round out the
day's activities.
