Hi 2018 Washington Seminar Participants attending congressional appointments,

Deepa did a great job booking our appointments but the members of Congress were slow to settle in on their appointment availability. We have 12 of 13 appointments which is very good. We may get the last appointment booked on Monday so please watch your email for updates. Additionally, there is almost always some change due to conflicts with availability for the members of Congress.

I have had to do some shuffling since some people we originally expected are unable to join us and we are trying to balance things out. We have worked to ensure that you are all meeting with your members of Congress.

Some of you have been tapped to participate on 2 or even three separate teams but the times do not interfere. We have the following team leaders who will define when the team should meet. At a minimum, you should plan to meet before your first appointment at least 15 minutes before the appointment. Some may choose to meet up at the hotel while others will want to meet outside of the office.

I have put a few from close in Northern Virginia on teams  for part of a day and I really need you to reach out to the team leaders to tell us if you can or cannot attend. We appreciate your flexibility.

Please remember to turn your phone to vibrate or silent within the Congressional offices.

For our appointments, given we are talking about Access Technology, a braille display or note taker might be a useful item to show what we mean by access technology.
