[NFBV-Announce] Reminder: Book Your Room for Convention

Hello,

This is just a gentle reminder to please reserve your rooms for state
convention. The hotel is anticipating a full house and will be eager
to sweep up whatever rooms are not claimed in our block. So, if you
are reading this and have five minutes to spare, please get this item
off your plate. It'll be one less thing for you to worry about.

Remember, if you need roommate assistance, Brittany Ingram is
coordinating potential matches. The deadline to submit that request is
Friday, October 18.

The room rate this year is $86 for singles and doubles. The rate is
valid three days before and three days after for anyone who would like
to build site seeing into their visit to Portsmouth.

The deadline for reservations is: 5 PM, Tuesday, October 8.

Please Note: The group rate is the best rate. Government and military
discounts do not apply. For the rate to be honored, please contact the
property directly. Do not use a travel site for booking.

Reservations for the Event should be made directly with Marriott
reservations. Book your room online  or call them directly at (888)
839-1775. Individuals must identify themselves as being with the
group, National Federation of the Blind of Virginia 61st Annual State
Convention at the time the reservation is made in order to receive the
special group rate. If you run into any issues, when calling
Reservations, please ask for Debra, who works Monday through Friday
between 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM.
