Hey NFB Family and Friends,

 

Happy Valentine's Day. Please read below for the next addition from our
Black Empowerment Committee.

 

Jahron Black is currently the President of New York Association for Blind
Athletes. He is a member of the Goalball team. 

 

He was diagnosed with Optic Nerve Hypoplasia when he was born. A medical
condition n which some optic nerve axons in the eyes don't develop fully. 

 

He loves sports and believes that just because your visually  impaired does
not mean you don't  have other cognitive abilities.
