3 cheers and 2 gold stars for Christine Grassman as she continues her
emergency response training.  Her virtual classes have gone live and she is
loving every minute of it.  Go you Christine!

Spotlight On.

 

Attention Ladies Night fans.during the summer months, June, July and August,
Ladies Night will be on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month, starting at
7:00 PM.   What do you do in your spare time?  Join us on those Saturdays
and we'll chat.

Announcing that Paddle with the Blind is back!  We will float our boats
Saturday, June 19 beginning at 10 a.m.  The event will be at Mott's Run and
include a time for our Fredericksburg Chapter meeting and picnic.  Bring
your own bag lunch and drink.  If you are interested in floating in a canoe,
please let me know vie email at michaelgkasey at verizon.net

limited.

Motts Run Reservoir is at  6600 River Road Fredericksburg, Virginia.  This
860-acre natural area including the 160-acre reservoir, is a haven for
fishing, boating canoeing, hiking and picnicking. It also serves the
residents of Fredericksburg and parts of Spotsylvania County with drinking
water. You may bring your own boat (ELECTRIC MOTORS ONLY) to launch on the
lake, or fish from the banks. Fee charged for fishing and boat launching. No
swimming, horseback riding, biking of any kind, or all-terrain vehicles
permitted. The park has jon boats and canoes available for rental, picnic
grills and tables, and over 4 miles of hiking trails.  Motts Reservoir is
OPEN Thursdays - Mondays April 1 - October 31 from 7:00am - 7:00pm; the
Reservoir is CLOSED on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. If the weather is
questionable, call before coming (540) 786-8989. As a cost saving measure,
when the weather is bad we reserve the right to close the reservoir early.

 

Almost all chapter and division meetings are using the Virginia Affiliate's
Zoom account and all meetings are open to the public.  If a meeting is using
an alternate platform, the phone number or instructions to join will follow
the meeting name.
