Hey NFB Family and Friends,
Ever wanted to use your Alexa to listen to the NFB Newsline or listen to
National Convention? Well, you are in luck! Please read below and our own
John Halverson will explain how.
At the NFB of Virginia state affiliate board meeting, on May 1st, I
indicated I would send information to our members about using Newsline on
Alexa.
Below is the detailed information I received on this subject a few days ago.
Also, You should be able to hear a lot of our upcoming national convention
on Alexa. I believe the general sessions and the banquet will be available
on these devices.
Just say Alexa enable the nations blind.
Sandy and I found this a convenient way to listen to last year’s banquet.

Alexa, Open National Federation
The NFB-NEWSLINE Amazon Alexa skill must be enabled, and subscribers must
log-in to NFB-NEWSLINE on their device on first use, but it’s then
unnecessary moving forward. Here are some more tips and guidance on how to
use:
* Alexa can help you select and move through publications easily with
a variety of commands
* The reading voice and speed of articles using the Alexa skill can be
altered
* Any article read by the Alexa skill can be sent to you via email
