We want to hear your stories on Friday night, October 29.
Everyone has great tales from their life that others would enjoy hearing.
We'd like to "walk in your moccasins" and be in the moment, as you remember
it. The story needs to be about you and your experience but it doesn't need
a blindness connection.
Story telling can be awesome and perhaps a little intimidating. We have you
covered.
If you have a story, please reach out right away to connect with our story
telling coach, John Bailey, by Wednesday, October 13 to simply state you are
considering participating in the Friday night, October 29 event. John will
work with each of our story tellers to refine their stories, ensure the
stories are moving and under our 5-minute limit. We are only taking 7
participants and slots are filling fast. Simply call John at 703 994-2040 or
email him at:

For greater context, we provide the following from our agenda:
Campfire Stories - Sharing Our Stories: Gather around the virtual campfire
for engaging real-life stories from our lived experiences. Your stories must
be told preferably without notes and must be from your own personal
experience, as you remember it. Stories do not need to be related to
blindness. Please sign up with John Bailey, our story telling coach, to
refine your story and ensure you fit into our strict 5-minute window. We
want to hear from you. Let's hear your story. Organized by the Virginia
Association of Blind Students. To reach John Bailey, please email him at
