Hi Virginia Federationists and others interested in presentations at the
state convention,
We are so excited for our 2023 National Federation of the Blind of Virginia
State Convention to be held November 3-5 at the Doubletree Williamsburg.
Call for Presentations
We are eager to bring creative ideas and presentations from across the
country. This year, we are trying an experiment to put out a call for
presentations.
While many of our best ideas come from NFB of Virginia members, we are very
open to outside ideas for programming and presentations that might be
valuable to our participants. In 2022, we had nearly 250 people in
attendance. Do you have a topic that would be valuable to our general
membership? Do you have programs for working age adults, seniors, students
or parents?
Who is the Audience?
Hundreds of blind people, parents of blind children, service providers,
technology producers/distributors, inventors of products designed to enhance
accessibility and independence, and representatives from rehabilitation
services, agencies, private agencies for the blind attend our annual
convention. At our convention, we also award scholarships to deserving young
blind scholars.
If you have an idea, please share it with us using the online form available
at the blow link.
