Hi Virginia Federationists,
I know this is last minute. We want to fill the room with blind people on Wednesday, July 26 for President Riccobono’s remarks to the House Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce. It is important that Congress knows we care about our access to Autonomous Vehicles.
President Riccobono has been invited to provide testimony for the House Subcommittee on Innovation, Data, and Commerce about the inherent advantages that autonomous vehicle technology will have towards improving the lives of blind and low vision Americans. , if you can be in Washington DC the morning of July 26, which is coincidentally the thirty-third anniversary of the signing of the Americans with disabilities Act, We urge you to attend the public hearing at 10:30 a.m. in 2322 Rayburn House Office Building.
Space is limited and seating will be available on a first-come first-serve basis. We want our enthusiastic members to show Congress and automotive innovators how much autonomous vehicle technology matters to us, the members of the National Federation of the Blind.
Warm regards,
Jesse Shirek
