Important Notice

Fairfax Chapter Meetings are back to virtual.  In-person meetings and
activities will resume in the future.  Watch for announcements.

The Fairfax Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind (NFB)

will be meeting virtually on Thursday, May 11, 2023, from 7:00pm - 8:30pm

Description of this month's Topic Presentation:

Have you ever wanted to write a poem or short message to express a thought
or feeling and did not know how to get started? If you want to be a poet,
never thought about being a poet, or are already a poet, plan to join us at
our May meeting and learn how easy it is. There are short forms of poetry
that do not have to rhyme, or need punctuation. They can be a short,
interesting, fresh way to talk about something. Come to the meeting with a
thought about the seasons, nature, human emotions, a particular memory, or a
message you want to share. Maybe something about parents for Mother's or
Father's Day, or a graduate in June. Plan to join us in May when our very
own Christine Grassman teaches us how you do not have to be a poet to
express yourself through poetry.
