[NFBV-Announce] NFB IEP Advocacy Academy Application - Apply by 2/28

The NFB, in collaboration with the Lavelle Fund for the Blind and the
Professional Development Research and Institute on Blindness (PDRIB), is
offering an intensive training program through the Individualized Education
Plan (IEP) Advocacy Academy. This program is designed to equip participants
with the skills needed to advocate for children and adults who are blind or
have low vision, and to provide critical support navigating the IEP process.


Parents and blind adults who are interested in serving as volunteer
advocates in preparation for and/or attendance at IEP meetings for
blind/low-vision students are encouraged to apply. The application deadline
is February 28, 2025, and we are eager to help more people become equipped
in IEP advocacy.
