Hello Friends and Colleagues,

 

A final gentle reminder that are Northern Virginia NFBV fundraising auction
and homecoming will take place next Saturday, June 21 at the Lion Village
Community House, 1920 North Highland Street, Arlington, Virginia 22201. We
will begin at 3:00 PM and should  be finished by  about 5:30.

 

The cost is $20 which covers facility rental, food and drink. Pay by Zelle
to potomacnfb.gmail.com. We can also pay on  Saturday with cash or a credit
card with Square.

shirt represents blindness empowerment and freedom.  Size: Medium.  It has
pictures of three of Jahmil's hobbies: martial arts, skateboarding and
creating music.  This is a prototype if it is well liked, he will produce
more in different sizes.

This tapestry measures 29 X 43".  The design is a large floral arrangement
in colors o mauve, beige and green.  The hardware to hang this item is

17-18.  2 Braille Heat Hoodies by Blind Girl Design.

Two hoodies to be bid separately.  There is a large 12 inch hand drawn heart
with two thin lines, forming the heart.  Around the inside perimeter of the
heart, starting at the top is the letter "a" and next to it is the letter
"a" in tactile braille.  This pattern repeats all the way around the heart
from A to Z. Not only can you read the alphabet with your hands, but the
design also looks like lace because we used all six braille cells for each
letter.  The end result is just a beautiful and wildly popular design.  It
really looks beautiful with the white tactile ink against the hoodie.  The
hoodies are pink.  These are to be ordered and come in sizes small to 5X.

22 Hand Knitted Afghan.


The afghan is a hand knitted patchwork design. The afghan is made up of
alternating squares in two main color patterns: solid turquoise and a
variegated mix of gray, black, and turquoise. Each square features a
different textured knitting pattern, such as ribbing, basketweave, and
diamond shapes. The overall look is cozy and handmade, with a visually
interesting mix of textures and colors.

25. Hand knitted merino and silk shawl

Knitted fabric with a lacy leaf like pattern. The fabric features a gradient
of colors starting with deep burgundy at the top, transitioning to a teal
green, then to magenta, orange, and finally a bright yellow at the bottom.
The yarn is slightly fuzzy and the stitch is intricate creating a textured
effect.

26. Four bottles of Star wine, a small winery from Virginia.

Four bottles of wine, two red and two white. The wine is outstanding we
purchased two cases when we stayed at the winery's bed and breakfast. The
wines are called Red Star and White Star. The winery and b&b are located
near Charlottesville on the Blueridge.
