Hello NFB Family and Friends,

Relax and enjoy getting to know more members of our Greater Loudoun Chapter.
Let me introduce you to Pam Balensiefen

Pam has been with our NFBV Family since 2020. She and her sister attended
our Silver Bells Program in 2022; they were in the Silver Bells video and
Pam says she was tickled about it! This year, Pam became a member of the
Silver Bells staff, she teaches personal home management (PHM).

Pam won both the Jernigan Scholarship and the McDonald Fellowship, she says
"I met so many people at convention and made so many new friends. I am in
love with the NFB and I'm so grateful to be a part of this organization!"
Pam would like to see the Greater Loudoun Chapter establish its self more
within the county. She wants people to know what we do and what
opportunities and resources we have. Pam would like to see more fund
raising being done in the area. She would like a partnership with the VIP
groups nearby.

Pam loves the outdoors; she has a garden she can be seen in when the weather
gets warm. She says she's a "beach bum." She enjoys walking and exercising
and after all of that, she loves to cook! Pam is a Travel bug; some of the
places she has gone to include Italy, Spain, Germany, France, and the
Bahamas. She would like to go to Paris and Florence for at least a month
each. She will continue to travel and go to exotic and far away places.

Pam is Italian and Russian. Pam has 1 older sister and 2 children, both
grown, a boy and a girl. She received her Liberal Arts Degree from a
community college and her Masters, in Human Resource Development, from
George Mason.

Pam says "this may sound Sappy but my children have given me my best
memories, They are my gifts! Everything I've done with my kids raising them
I've always treated them as little people not kids. I've made sure they had
a voice and choice."

Pam laughs as she tells us her NFB Family would be surprised to know how
strong she is for her size. She has broken handles off of the screen door,
microwave, and a recliner; her family made her sign the recliner handle
"beefy".

Thanks Pam, it has been great getting to know you better. Stay tuned for
more Greater Loudoun Chapter Members.

Peace,

Jacki Bruce
