An evening full of fun and tasty frozen desserts will be seen in a whole new light as Aira partners with the NFB of Fairfax.  If you are not familiar with or have not had a chance to experience Aira come join us at our annual community event. .

Where: Rita's Italian Ice & Frozen Custard of Fairfax, 10726 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22030
When: Thursday, July 19, 2018 anytime between 6:00pm - 9:00pm

Aira brings together cutting edge technology and a human interface to provide remote assistant to those who are blind at the touch of a button.  Highly trained Agents view the surroundings of a person who is blind and provides verbal descriptions of what is in view.  Want to what that piece of paper is stuffed into your front door, call an Aira Agent.  Do you find navigating around obstacles in your path of travel or finding the entrance to a new destination to be frustrating?  No worries, Aira's got you covered.  From the home to the community and even at work, Aira can assist with thousands of visual tasks throughout the day.

There are 3 ways to experience Aira at the NFB Fairfax  Chapter and Rita's Italian Ice and Frozen Custard of Fairfax Event.


  1.  If you are already an Aira Explorer, you will have free access Within the Rita's store and throughout the shopping center.  So plan on venturing out and grabbing dinner before indulging in one or more frozen desserts at Rita's.
  2.  If you have a smart phone download the Aira app, set up a guest account and use Aira while you are at the event.
  3.  3.  Can't join us in person?  Listen in on an Aira session made available by a current Aira subscriber attending the event.  Just download the Aira app to your smart phone and set up a guest account.  From 6:00pm - 9:00pm Eastern Time on July 19 open the Live tab at the bottom of the Aira screen and select any of the currently available Live sessions.  Use the Refresh button to check for newly added sessions.
