Our topic this month will be renting and buying a home. Have you been
thinking about renting or buying a home? Do you know what to expect from the
process or if you need to do anything different if you are blind? Please
join the Fairfax chapter of the NFB on Thursday, October 17th, 2019, for
this engaging conversation surrounding the home buying and renting
experience. Our guest speaker will be Sheila Carney. For all who may have
paused and considered thoughts of entering real estate as a blind consumer,
as well as those who have experience with renting and/or buying a home, you
will not want to miss this interactive conversation. As we hear from Mrs.
Carney, the sharing of experiences from our NFB members, and answer
questions from those new to the renting and home buying process, the
evening's discussion is sure to be informative. Owning a home is the
American dream. Having the information you need to be an informed consumer
will allow you to live the life you want.

Attached is an article we will use to get us started in the discussion. If
