Below are the minutes from the December 21 2023 meeting. They have not yet
been approved by the Chapter, and may be amended in the future.

Epic Fail Gift Icebreaker
Minutes for the November 16 Meeting
    The Minutes for the November 16 meeting were accepted as read
Treasurer's Report
    Ameenah is still working to access the Wells Fargo bank account
    Motion to table the treasurer's report until the treasurer can access
the treasury
        Motion passed
Funding Request to Washington Seminar
    Ray Henderson is asking for financial assistance at Washington Seminar.
She plans to share a room with Ally Kelso, and is asking for assistance
with hotel and transportation expenses.
    Plans to pay $300 in hotel fees
    Is asking for $500
    Motion to award $200 to Ray Henderson
        Motion passed
Alternate Delegates to Affiliate Board Meetings
    Ameenah Ghoston was elected to the office of Alternate Delegate to the
National Federation of the Blind of Virginia
    John Bailey was elected to the office of Alternate Delegate to the
National Federation of the Blind of Virginia
Safety lesson
    Braden Flax discussed with the membership how to respond effectively to
a situation with someone who needs emergency medical assistance.
Holiday party
    Potential locations discussed were the Big Buns, Founding Farmers, and
Matchbox at Reston Station because of their proximity to the metro line.
    Ameenah, Christine will put together a google form to collect
information of attending members. Deadline for RSVP will be january 13.
Rotating Chapter Meeting
    Ameenah suggested that chapters rotate throughout the county and online
to increase membership reach.
    Potential locations will be gathered through the holiday party RSVP
form.
Fundraising
    The President calls on all members to search for fundraising ideas.
