[NFBV-Fairfax] Elections, Happy Birthday, NFB

	Aside from looking forward to this weekend’s convention, I want to remind everyone that on November 16, from 3:00 to 5:30 PM, we will gather for our in-person chapter meeting, hold our elections, and celebrate the Federation’s eighty-fourth birthday. 
Do you have nominations? Do you want to run for a position on the board? Feel free to nominate yourself; don’t be shy.
Ask a friend to nominate you.
Just remember: you must be a dues-paying member to stand for election or to vote.
If you have not done so already, you must give me or Ameenah $5 before the start of the elections on November 16. 
At our October board meeting, we did not have a quorum, but luckily, there was nothing to vote upon.
Our biggest hurdle is getting our bank account opened; after our November elections, we will present our slate of officers, our Constitution, some chapter-related materials and board meeting minutes, and our tax ID and other requested documents to the bank (yes, including this email).
