Evaluating the veracity of news and determining what is real will be the subject of a presentation from Hank Silverberg. Mr. Silverberg, an award winning journalist and author with more than 38 years of experience, will discuss how to differentiate real from fake news. The meeting will occur next Saturday, February 4 at 10:00 in meeting room 1 of Fredericksburg's Central Rappahannock Regional Library, 1201 Caroline Street.

Mr. Silverberg's distinguished career has included covering news from City Hall, state legislatures, Capitol Hill as well as other locations between upstate New York and D.C/Virginia. He is a New England native, author of two books and a die-hard Red Sox fan. Virginia has been his home the past 25 years.

Although news evaluation is not specifically related to blindness, it is an extremely timely and important topic for everyone. Other agenda items at next Saturday's meeting will include reports from our Richmond and Washington seminar participants as well as two major up coming activities in April for which meticulous advance planning are critical.
