Our walk is exactly two weeks from today. It can succeed this year only if every single person in the chapter puts forth 100% effort. We have major financial obligations to meet and this is our only possible realistic chance to raise the necessary funds. If you have not contributed in any way, please contact me to let me know what commitment you will make. A commitment does not necessarily mean personally donating money. Preferably, it means soliciting donations from your neighbors, family, friends, acquaintances and colleagues. Visiting the shops on Caroline Street to solicit gift certificates is also a fine contribution. So is helping me with the paperwork or asking Laurie if she would like some assistance at the registration table. So far, Laurie has agreed to do what she always does at the registration table. Vickie printed information to give merchants who require something in writing before deciding whether to donate either a door prize or a financial contribution. Roy Murphy has already been out twice to solicits gift certificates and donations. Last month, the opening activity was the generous contribution from Hannah's swim team. Traci Jones already asked what she can do to help even though she lives in Ashland and, for health reasons, probably cannot physically participate in the actual walk. The Ehrmann family offered to help. Michael contacted some Lions Clubs on our behalf. What is everyone else doing to make this event it usual success?
