[NFBV-Historic-Fredericksburg] Correction

Earlier this week, Brittany prepared an outstanding message about next Saturday's meeting.  Because of reasons entirely beyond her knowledge and control, we must make one change.

The email said there would be a free drawing to win a one night stay for two at the Courtyard Marriot.  Ethically, the drawing cannot be free because the gift was solicited and donated for fund raising purposes.  Therefore, we will raffle it off for $5 per chance.  I will have lots of index cards available.  Each interested person can purchase as many of them as he or she wishes.  I will bring a Braille writer.  Someone who reads Braille will have to announce the winner's name.

I accept full responsibility for this change.  First, as the person who approved the email, it was my responsibility to read and monitor it carefully.  Second, as chapter president, it was my responsibility to have realized the impropriety of giving away this generous gift which was solicited and given in good faith for fund raising purposes.  I profusely apologize for creating this extremely awkward situation.
