Notes From May 20 Meeting

 

 

Attendees: John, Georgia, Matt, angie, Nancy and Sarah.

 

Registration Update:  

 

Event Bright 2 confirmed.  

Facebook 2 confirmed and 6 have expressed interest.

Email/phone call registrations: 2.

 

Publicity:  

 

Newspapers:  Washington Post and  Sun Gazette.

 

Email to teachers in northern Virginia and Fredericksburg.

 

flyer sent to Arlington and Fairfax libraries.  Will be published in Fairfax
library newsletter: "Loud And Clear."

 

DBVI: Holly Dalton and  Angela Moran; 

Not yet sent to: Richmond DBVI Headquarters, Rehab Center and Kim Jennings
Regional Manager.

Angie will contact Tim Brown?

 

Community House Visit:

 

John, Matt, Georgia and Nancy visited the facility.

There are between 6 and 8 outlets around the room;

Plenty of tables and chairs;

Wireless:  Acceptable;  Our equipment will only require low power so we
should be fine.  We will have Hot Spot if needed.

Matt has the password.

 

We will arrange demonstrator tables in rows around the room to facilitate
traffic flow.

 

We will use kitchen as needed for snacks.  For serving, snacks will be set
up on bar/pass through.

 

Snack hosts: not yet identified.

 

Demonstrator Update:

Be My Eyes and Seeing AI:  Angie Moran.

 

BARD: Sandy will demonstrate on iPhone and John will demonstrate on Stream.

 

Taptilo Braille teaching device tool for children - Angie knows someone who
might demonstrate it. 

 

AIRA:  Angie will contact Dan Frye;

 

Still need Android Talkback.

Greeters:  we have 4.

 

Door prize update: Merchant letter distributed on PC Announce List.
