Agenda items:
I will review information intended to make dealing with our virtual convention a smoother experience. I am going to try to attend both the Rookie Round-Up and our affiliate informational session (see next email), but would appreciate it if someone would take some notes on both events for the sake of those unable to make it, or for those who encounter reception/conductivity issues when accessing these meetings. Please let me know if you will be doing this. 
We must vote for a membership chair. If you are interested in nominating someone, or if you are interested, please let me know before Thursday evening, (and if you are nominating someone, please check with them first to make sure they are interested.)

Later today or tomorrow I will be placing this information on our Facebook chapter page to kick off updating the page. Please let me know if it reads well and comes out correctly; it has been a while since I have managed a Facebook page — seven years, in fact.
Sarah Patnaude has asked to experiment with Zoom breakout rooms at our chapter meeting. This allows people to go into smaller groups while a larger meeting is taking place. For example, perhaps during our caucus, a few people might want to “break out” into a room and discuss something, or just socialize before or afterwards. We want to work the wrinkles out before the actual convention. 
Please see next email for information on the upcoming National Rookie Round-up and Virginia affiliate informational session. There will also be a Zoom troubleshooting and set-up meeting prior to the Virginia affiliate’s informational meeting. 
I encourage everyone to read President Tracy Soforenko’s email with vital information about how certain things will be handled for the virtual convention. I will cover this as best we can with our time on Thursday, and if people wish, we can gather once again prior to convention on July 13 to answer last-minute questions, address concerns, and assist with access.
