I am saddened to share that our Blue Ridge Chapter President, Woodrow (Woody) Berry passed on Saturday.

> Woodrow “Woody” Berry, 79, of Charlottesville, passed away on Saturday March 11, 2023.

> Woody was born on December 31,1943, in Wolftown, Madison Virginia to the late Earlybird Berry and Polly Ann Berry. Woody was preceded in death a brother, Mitchel “Mitch” Berry.
>  
> Woody was a faithful member of the Jefferson Park Baptist Church, Charlottesville Virginia. He worked for the University of Virginia Radiology Department for 37 years. Woody was united in holy matrimony to Carolyn Ruth Wilson on June 6, 1970. With that union born a daughter, Delores Berry Durrette and son, Scott Haywood Berry.

> God lent us a very pure and special person who was loved by everyone. On Saturday, March 11, 2023, we returned this beautiful life to him. We are thankful for the privilege to having shared the life of such a beloved person.

> Woody was very active despite his blindness. He loved swimming in his pool, riding his bike across Italy, kayaking the rivers around Charlottesville, and most of all playing his guitars.
>  
> Cherishing great memories of his life, his devoted wife, Carolyn Ruth Berry, daughter, Delores Berry Durrette, Son-in-law, Latroy “Tito” Durrette and son, Scott Haywood Berry. He also leaves his beloved granddaughter, Kayla Durrette, and a host of other relatives and many devoted friends.
