Hey, Virginia Federationists! Our Silver Bells program will be assisted by
our convention auction, and we would like to have lots of awesome items.
If you remember last year, we had some fabulous enticing items, such as
restaurant gift cards, gift baskets, fresh-baked goods, electronics,
jewelry, and so on.

If you have something that is in excellent condition and would make a great
auction item, or you can send along a gift card, or perhaps persuade a
business to give something for our auction, please do that as soon as
possible. We need to support a fantastic program that is going to make a
positive difference in the lives of older blind Virginians. As soon as you
are able, fill out the auction submission forms as described at the link
below. Perhaps you have friends or family members who might offer
something, or your current or former employer might be able to offer
something.

Laurie Wages will serve as this year’s auctioneer. For an explanation of
the process, and to complete the auction submission form, please learn more
about the auction. <http://nfbv.org/auction>

The NFBV will be using 32Auctions as our site. Visit the 32Auctions site.
<https://www.32auctions.com/NFBV20> We hope to start the auction on October
1 at 1:00 pm and finish October 30 at 5:00 PM. New items will be posted for
auction as received. Most items will stay on as silent auction items, but a
few will be removed for live bidding. (Note: Final bid on the silent
auction will stand if no live bidder goes higher.) Please sign up as
directed on the site and bid vigorously.

Remember there is an option to provide a range that you will pay, i.e., up
to $ 100 for example, that the program will do for you so you do not have
to keep entering overbids. This site works very much like the EBay bidding
process.
