>             As you know from previous legislative alerts, the Motor Vehicle Safety Act, S. 3302, was not allowed to move forward due to a couple of senators placing holds on the bill.  It was decided that the Senate would take the noncontroversial pieces of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act and attempt to pass them as standalone bills.  Our Pedestrian Safety Enhancement Act was one of these pieces, and it was passed by unanimous consent.  S. 841 will now move to the House for consideration.
