Dear Lisa,
My prayers are with you. You can sing from home anytime and that is a prayer to God!
I was in the hospital for 7 months last year and the nurses take good care of you. The prayers helped me to get better soon. My prayers to you to get well and soon!

I don't like the use of the word "striving."  shouldn't the motto be
"Educating blind and visually impaired children for independence
and success."

Below is a posting for a teacher at the Washington State School for the
Blind.  I hope I am not stepping on anyone toes when I say that I have a
negative reaction to the motto that precedes the announcement.

Hello:

I had a bad fall on 2-5-10 and may need back surgery. I see the surgeon on
3-31-10. I will let you know more next week.

The back pain is pretty bad and I can't walk very well sit or stand for
long periods. I am very sad and disappointed that I can't sing in choir for
the  Easter season or even go to mass. Please keep me in your prayers.

I will keep you posted.

Thanks:

Lisa Owen

And, I agree with Kaye.  But, if it is surgery, don't panic, from one
who has had two back surgeries, it's not the end of the world.
