Hi Listers,

Yesterday, I attended the quarterly board meeting at the Seattle Lighthouse for the Blind.  As part of that meeting, the ten nominees for various employee of the year awards were introduced.  The first person recognized was our own Federationist, Mary Helen Scheiber.  She is a Braille production specialist, and I believe has been for more than six years now, according to CEO Kirk Adams. It was great to see her get such recognition, and talk with her a few minutes about our history, and where things have come at the lighthouse.  She has been there since 1977, one of the more senior employees there.
