Whether you've been disabled all of your life, or are just recently adjusting to illness or disability; whether you are a supercrip or not even sure you belong in this movement, your presence is SO valuable at this discussion. If you think about whether or not you fit into those categories, hesitate to call yourself disabled, wonder if your invisible disability qualifies, please come and know you are welcome!

Given the DJC's goal to center the experiences of those often marginalized or underrepresented in disability spaces (people of color, queer and trans folks, immigrants, survivors, poor folks) we'll talk about the intersections of internalized ableism and other experiences and oppressions in our lives, with an eye toward liberation. Come with your realness and your openness, to share and/or to listen!

We LOVE our allies, and upcoming DJC events will be open to all! This discussion, however, will be a crip/sick space, and allies are asked not to attend - although we welcome you to volunteer to help us set up, be a sniffer, or give people rides. Thanks for your support!

FRAGRANCE FREE: All DJC events strive to be scent-free so that people with chemical injury and illness can attend. Please do not wear any fragranced products to this event. Those who arrive scented may be asked to leave. For more information on how to be fragrance free for people with environmental illness or MCS, read this: http://www.peggymunson.com/mcs/fragrancefree.html
