BrailleNotes are supposed to sync with the iPhone and they do most of the
time. My BrailleSensePLUS used to but Apple broke the mechanism when it
updated the iPhone to iOS 5.1. Although we've told Apple about this numerous
times, it still hasn't yet been fixed. People often go on and on about
wanting manufacturers such as Microsoft and Apple to make their own
screen-readers. The example of the iOS 5.1 and the BrailleSensePLUS shows
the down-side of such a policy as this gets fixed on Apple's timetable, not
ours.

That being said, the refreshabraille works quite well with the iPhone.
There's a 12-cell display called the BraillePen which also works well and is
less expensive. But I'd hold out for the RefreshaBraille.

Hi,
I am so thankful to hear this! I am one who needs her braille, too! I can
function using speech, but I still much prefer actually reading braille!

I just got an iPhone so I am struggling with it a little. I was even having

trouble answering it so I called myself from my landline a few times to get
it down and had a friend of mine call me too. It would be neat to have
braille with the iPhone. I probably couldn't afford a refresh-a-braille or
whatever it is. I haven't heard of them before. My old BrailleNote has
issues, so I have a feeling it wouldn't sync with the iPhone.
Thanks
Lauren
