Invitation for Public Comment

Please see the attached draft of the Senior Community Service Employment Program (SCSEP) PY 2012-2015 State Plan.

We invite all of you to review, share and comment on the state plan - any suggestions would be very welcome.  Our closing date for comments is August 19, 2012.

We would also like to encourage distribution of this plan with your stakeholders, including board members, and workforce partners in order that we receive a wide range of thoughts and considerations in making this plan work well for SCSEP participants in Washington State.

For your information, the four SCSEP Grantees providing services in the state of Washington are:
1.     State of Washington DSHS-Aging & Disability Services Administration (ADSA)
2.     AARP Foundation
3.     Goodwill Industries, Inc. (Tacoma)
4.     National Asian Pacific Center on Aging (NAPCA)

Under ADSA's State Grant, the following subgrantees provide SCSEP services:
1.     Olympic Area Agency on Aging (Clallam, Grays Harbor, Jefferson & Pacific Counties)
2.     Northwest Workforce Development Council (Island San Juan, Skagit, & Whatcom Counties)
3.     Edmonds Community College (Snohomish County)
4.     The YWCA (King County)
5.     Partners in Careers (Clark, Cowlitz, Klickitat, Skamania, & Wahkiakum Counties)
6.     SkillSource (Adams, Chelan, Douglas, Grant, and Okanogan Counties)
7.     Aging and Long Term Care of Eastern Washington (Ferry, Pend Oreille, Spokane, Stevens and Whitman Counties)
8.     Southeast Washington Aging & Long Term Care (Asotin, Benton, Columbia, Franklin, Garfield, Kittitas, Yakima, & Walla Walla Counties)
a. Sub-subgrantee: People for People
9.     Yakama Nation Area Agency on Aging (Yakama Nation Reservation)
10.  Colville Indian Area Agency on Aging (Colville Indian Reservation)
11.  Kitsap County Division of Aging & Long Term Care (Kitsap County)
