As you may know the NFB of Washington and the NFB of Oregon are presenting a seminar for teachers of the blind and parents of blind children on April 14 at the Washington State School for the Blind in Vancouver, Washington. A number of activities are being planned. Among the activities are a concurrent seminar for blind youth ages 14 to 21. We are in need of mentors for this program. Any age or background will qualify a person to act as a mentor to blind young people. In the past we have been very successful introducing young blind youth to the philosophy of the National Federation of the Blind and to blind adults. So please contact me at 206-419-9555or at cane.travel at gmail.com to let me know if you can be of any assistance. We will walk you through what may be needed from you. Thank you for your support in this endeavor.
