A new art exhibit has been installed at Edmonds Community College and all of
the art is meant to be touched. There are images and information below and
the general information is as follows:

January 5-March 13

Please Touch - Jim Ballard

"Please Touch" is an interactive and collaborative exhibit that explores the
themes of air, earth, the human form, and sound through a variety of media.
Jim Ballard and his colleagues, sculptors, along with various teams of
people create an experiential art installation that focuses on touch, sound,
and motion.

A few recent photos of the exhibit space:

 



 

Some of the Vision Loss Connections artists worked with EdCC design students
to create the river seen in the middle of

the photo. Wooden "rafts" were created by VLC artists and placed within this
3-D display. One can trace the path of the

river and explore the artwork on the rafts.

 



 

A few negative ceramic molds used to make positive paper embossments which
are on a large wall

panel to the right of these molds.
