ANNOUNCEMENT - WIOA PUBLIC FORUMS

The state Workforce Training & Education Coordinating Board and local Workforce Development Councils are co-hosting public forums across the state to gather input on Washington State's workforce development plan. That plan will cover all of the programs and services required by the Workforce Innovation & Opportunities Act, including:

1. Employment and Training Programs under Title I

*         Disadvantaged Youth Services

*         Economically Disadvantaged Adult Services

*         Dislocated Worker Programs
2. Basic Education for Adults under Title II
3. Wagner-Peyser Employment Services under Title III
4. Vocational Rehabilitation Services under Title IV

The attached flyer has all of the forum locations, dates, and more information. The forums will be held over the next several weeks.

I strongly encourage you to attend a forum to share your input on how the overall state workforce development system serves individuals who experience disabilities. A WIOA Overview is also attached that has additional information.
