The DeafBlind Service Center (DBSC) is a nonprofit agency that serves DeafBlind individuals. DBSC is currently seeking a motivated and dependable individual for the following position:


Position:      SSP Coordinator
Hours:                   Full-time (32 hours) with benefits
Reports To: Executive Director

Main Responsibilities:

*        Coordinate SSP services for deafblind clients & SSP sub-contractors
*        Recruit, train (one-on-one and groups), and mentor new SSP sub-contractors
*        Recruit & coordinate substitute and one-time SSP services upon request
*        Maintain state mandated confidential client case files, records, and statistical data
*        Process invoices
*        Maintain confidential SSP sub-contractor files
*        Provide community training and outreach about the SSP Program
*        Assist in planning DBSC workshops
*        Recruit volunteer SSPs for community events
*        Other tasks as assigned

      Qualifications:


  *   BA degree and/or minimum of 3 years' experience working with Deafblind adults
  *   Fluent in American Sign Language
  *   Knowledge of Deaf and Deafblind communication styles and culture
  *   Strong English skills, including verbal and writing abilities
  *   Proficient in MS Office Suite
  *   Knowledge of Google Drive
  *   Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
  *   Self-directed, flexible, and highly organized with the ability to prioritize
