  MILHORN, Evelyn Pearl (Travis), 83, of Wheeling, died Saturday, 
February 21, 2009 at her home.
  Evelyn was born May 14, 1925 in Glencoe, Ohio, a daughter of 
the late Ben and Laura W.  (Junkins) Travis.  She was retired 
from M.  Marsh and Sons Tobacco, after 50 years of service; a 
member of the R.W.D.S.U., Local 99; the Blind Guild of Wheeling 
for 60 years, where she served as treasurer; the National 
Federation of the Blind; the West Virginia Division of the 
N.F.B., where she served as financial secretary; and was a 
supporter of the S.P.C.A.
  In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her 
husband, Donald Milhorn in 1959; three brothers, Kenneth, 
Benjamin and James Travis; and four sisters, Elsie Lamn, Mary 
Hoel, Lois Varner and Mildred Dotson.
  Surviving are her brother, Charles "Jack" Travis (Helen) of 
Venice, Fla.; several loving nieces and nephews; great-nieces and 
nephews; and a great-great-nephew.  She is also survived by her 
"special daughter" and family, Debbie Mylan; and her loyal "P.K."
  Friends will be received from 2-4 and 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, and 10 
a.m.  until time of funeral services at 11 a.m., Wednesday, 
February 25, 2009 at Altmeyer Funeral Home, 1400 Eoff Street, 
Wheeling, with the Rev.  Dennis Hancock officiating.
  Interment will be in Warnock Cemetery, Warnock, Ohio.
  Memorial contributions may be made to either the Blind Guild of 
Wheeling or the S.P.C.A.
