I am sure most of you know by now that Bob Hunt, long-time member and former 
president of the National Federation of the Blind of West Virginia, died on 
Friday. He was 88 and had been in declining health for some time. Thus far 
additional details have been rather sketchy; however, here is the obituary 
from the web site of the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home in Buckhannon:

Robert Loyal Hunt, age 88, of Buckhannon, WV died Friday, July 20, 2012 at 
St. Joseph’s Hospital in Buckhannon.  He was born May 22, 1924 in Barbour 
County, WV, a son of the late Earl Lee and Daultie Corrick Hunt.  On 
December 20, 1967 he married Ruth J. Fearn who preceded him in death on 
December 16, 2009.  In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in 
death by one sister, Emma Jean Mackey and one brother, Willis A. Hunt.  He 
is survived by one daughter, Merrilee Hunt of Buckhannon; one son, Robert 
Lee Hunt of Twin Lakes, MI; one brother, Denny Hunt of OH and a step 
brother, Milton Hunt of GA.

Mr. Hunt was a History Professor at West Virginia Wesleyan College.  He was 
a member of the WV Federation of the Blind.

A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
