Greetings Federation Family,
This is being sent to you as a reminder. I do hope everyone is ready
and willing to help sell these tickets while at the same time help to
build the funds that will enable fellow federationist to attend their
first national convention.
If there is anyone on this list who does not have a chapter but who
would like to buy raffle tickets, please let me know and I will be happy
to sell you some.
I would appreciate it if chapter presidents and board members would let
me know how the selling of these tickets are going in their chapter.
I do appreciate every member and all that you do for our affiliate and
our national movement.
Charlene

Subject: Jernigan Raffle Tickets
Greetings Fellow Federationists,
During March and April, I would like every chapter's president and board
member to contact all members to request that they buy at least one, and
more if possible, Jernigan Raffle Ticket.
The winner of the Jernigan Raffle will win roundtrip airfare for two to
the 2015 NFB convention in Orlando, Florida along with lodging for the
convention, banquet and convention registration fees for two, and $1,000
spending money.
The cost per ticket is only $10.
Please keep in mind that in the past eight years, West Virginia has sold
two winning tickets. Don't forget that the chapter that sells the
winning ticket wins $500 for their chapter.
To save confusion and the possibility of money and tickets getting lost
in the mail, please submit all money to your chapter president or board
member and your chapter's board member can then bring it to the next
board meeting which will take place on Sunday, May 4. I will then fill
out your ticket with your name and contact information and submit it to
the Jernigan Committee.
Are you wondering why you should support such a fund-raiser? The money
raised is awarded to Federationist who apply for and are chosen to
receive some financial sponsorship that will allow them to attend their
first national convention. There has been at least one, and sometimes
more, members of our affiliate who have received such sponsorship over
the past eight years and there has been members from every chapter who
have benefitted.
I receive enough tickets every year that amounts to one ticket per
member. Please help me and our affiliate make this the first year that
we have been able to sell every ticket by encouraging everyone in your
chapter to purchase at least one ticket.
Thank you for all you do in helping West Virginia be a part of our
national movement to "change what it means to be blind".
Charlene
