25 oreos
1 and 1/2 sticks butter
1 box german sweet chocolate (baking chocolate (green box))
2/3 cup sugar
5 ounce can evaporated milk
1 teaspoon vanilla
chopped pecans to taste
half gallon ice cream any flavor
16 ounces cool whip

crush oreos. add half stick melted butter to crushed oreos. place in the 
bottom of a 9 by 13 inch pan for crust.
slightly soften  ice cream and slice and place it on to the crust.
sprinkle on the chopped pecans.

to prepare sauce:
in a saucepan melt butter chocolate and evaporated milk over low heat. 
bring to a boil and boil for 4 minutes stirring constantly.  remove from 
heat and
stir in vanilla. let cool.
once sauce is cool, pour over ice cream. top with cool whip. freeze.

**after ice cream is on crust, return to freezer until sauce is ready.
