This is for those of you who might have known Curlie.

Curlie C. Spencer, 88, of Charleston, passed away at Hubbard Hospice House, Saturday, August 5, 2017, after a short illness. He was born April 1, 1929, in Marfrance, W.Va.
He was preceded in death by his two spouses, Hazel D. Spencer and Anna Marie Spencer.
Curlie worked at CAMC Memorial Hospital in the radiology department developing film. He later went to work in the food service business for the WV Society for the Blind where he worked 40 plus years, he managed locations at the state capitol building and the DHHR building on Capitol Street.
He was a longtime member of the Church of God a worldwide association. He enjoyed visiting the beach and loved the ocean. He loved animals and all of God's creation, he enjoyed socializing with people and loved everyone. He especially loved music and getting together with friends to play his guitar.
He is survived by his daughters, Dessie Tignor and her husband, Robbie, and Joyce Dorsey and her husband, David; son, Robert O'Quinn and his wife, Elizabeth, and daughter, Barbara Sigman; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Please join the family in a Celebration of Curlies' Life beginning at 6 p.m. Thursday, August 24, at Coonskin Park, located in the Oak Room at the Club House, 375 Henry C. Hoppy Shores Drive, Charleston, with Pastor Larry Lambert officiating. A pot luck meal will follow the service.
As per Curlies' wishes, he loved getting together with family and friends to share a meal and play music. We invite you to bring your favorite instrument of your choice and share some tunes after the meal.
