Hi.
Thanks for sharing this. I didn't know about this assistive tech program
at all. I just offered myself for consideration for that. I'm not
totally up to speed on what exactly this whole thing is, and I'm
possibly not a young adult, 33. Anyway, I liked having the opportunity
to read that here.
Cheers:

Here is some information from the November update that was sent to members of the WVATS Council. If you think it worthwhile, I can post future updates.

We are working in conjunction with the Mid-Atlantic ADA group to find someone who will work with our team to spread awareness and information about various assistive technology. They will be able to show people how assistive technology impacts their daily lives and improves their quality of life, allowing them to remain independent.

This consultant will be required to attend the monthly meeting and complete a post for social media once a month following the theme for the month. We are asking for 10 hours per month while receiving a stipend; the meeting occurs on the last Wednesday of every month from 3-4 pm via Zoom. If you are a young adult with a disability and you're wanting to share your experience with assistive technology we encourage you to send a letter of interest to douglas.cumpston at hsc.wvu.edu.
