Share and Connect with Blind Students in Your State

Thank you for your role in the scholarship selection process. We use the

National Federation of the Blind.

Please share this opportunity widely by forwarding our scholarship program
flyer <https://nfb.org/civicrm/mailing/url?u=41395&qid=12193118> through
affiliate mailing lists, posting links to the application on social media,

the *Braille
Monitor* and our other publications. You can find copy and paste marketing

While president interviews may be completed as late as April, please
acknowledge interview requests as they are received. This ensures that we
are cultivating a welcoming environment for all applicants.

You can find detailed instructions for conducting interviews and writing
letters that will support the committee's decision-making on the president’s
letter information webpage
<https://nfb.org/civicrm/mailing/url?u=41397&qid=12193118>.

The eligibility requirements, frequently asked questions, and a submissions
checklist are available on the scholarship webpage

familiarize yourself with the information to help answer applicant
questions.

During the first week of each month that the scholarship application window
is open, you will receive an email from scholarships at nfb.org listing
complete and incomplete applicants from your state. You can find the list
of applicants at any time by logging into your portal
<https://nfb.org/civicrm/mailing/url?u=41399&qid=12193118> and navigating

Overview of the Program

Each year, we award an array of scholarships to invest in the future of
blind people who demonstrate scholastic aptitude, leadership, and service.

Beyond the $10,000 cash award, each winner receives:

   - Funding to travel to and attend our national convention.
   - During convention, they have the opportunity to network with other
blind students to exchange information and ideas.
   - Meet and talk with hundreds of blind people who are successfully
working in many occupations and professions.

Thank You!

Thank you for all that you do to make our Federation the dynamic
organization it is and thank you for making the scholarship program one we
can be proud to run and fund. Please contact me with any questions.

Sincerely,
Cayte Mendez
Scholarship Committee Chair
