I would suggest in future if we don’t have a proper ending balance due to the odd timing of the meeting, it might be good to list the opening balance with some sort of note indicating to be updated later? It currently looks like we lost our entire bank balance somehow if one were to read very strictly.

Due to the early May meeting the new bank statement report wasn’t available for an updated treasurer’s report.

Dana, Legislative Director

Dana had no new legislative actions to report on.

Deanna asked Dana if she would be willing to report any up dates on the three directives at the State convention. Dana kindly accepted.

 

Secretary’s Report

Sent April’s report there were no corrections or edit requests.

1st motion-Randi, 2nd motion-Andrew, All in favor. 

 

Fundraising Report

President Riccobono sends his congratulations and is supporting our new learning’s on how to spend it appropriately along with the accountants.

Randi helped fill in some info regarding the changes to gaming legislations and their payouts due to increase in participating non-profits that has doubled over the last year alone.

Melissa to call other 14 casinos to ensure they all have our license number and ability to participate.

Spending down 195k, what is allowed is being investigated by National Office.

Call in to Hannaford for additional community progams for non-profits.

List of level up stores: Walmart, Lowes, Demoulas, Kohls, Home Depot, Aubuchon, TJ Maxx, Target, Dominoes

 

 

Walk for Sight 2026

Donate to Kelley’s page, Raytheon time is up for matching.

Fred, Randi, and Andrew plan on attending the walk.

Mark Page to attend for award of commitment presented by Future In Sight.

 

State Convention May 30th, 2026

Lost a few vendors we brainstormed as a group to fill open slots with GSIL? Lion’s Club speaker? Dana and Randi agreed to speak.

Please invite others to join our mission & chapter and come to convention.

Email Avah registration for convention (Melissa did this at conclusion of meeting at 12:00)

 

Annual Picnic

President Deanna asked for a vote on whether to do annual picnic again this year. Everyone wants to do it.

We picked two dates so Deb can request reservations, we decided on August 15th or 22nd.

Melissa offerred to bring watermelon to grill since it was a hit last year.
