[NJAGDU] Not wearing a face mask, the latest gambit for Uber drivers to refuse to pick up people with guide dogs

Hi all,

Now that I've been falsely reported as a face mask delinquent by an Uber
driver, I'm compelled to take a photo of myself within the Uber app to
confirm that I'm wearing a mask. I have tried repeatedly to do this without
success, so I did it with AIRA's help. The agent told me that it's not so
easy to do this in Uber's app, and that's why I had such difficulty. So now
I'm dealing with a double discrimination, since I can't use Uber without
sighted help. I reported this to Uber on Monday, shortly after I got home,
but I haven't heard by phone from Uber yet. Only canned emails.

I've also reported the problem to the NFB via the RideShare form. I'll keep
everybody posted.

Hello everybody,

I'm so angry, I can hardly type coherently! Not only did an Uber driver
cancel my trip, when he saw my guide dog, he reported me as not wearing a
face mask. I don't really know what else to say that's suitable for mixed
company.
