[Njtechdiv] Answering captchas using Internet Explorer

Brian and others interested, there is an extension for Firefox called Web
Visum that you can use to solve CAPTCHAs, but as for Internet Explorer, I
don't believe there is anything anymore.

I'm not sure as to what you have to do to get Web Visum these days. When I
got it a few years ago, I had to have someone I knew who had/used Web Visum
"invite" me. Now, I think you don't need an invitation. But you do need to
get it thru the add-on manager in Firefox.

If you need to solve a CAPTCHA to register/sign up for an account or
newsletter, pose a question or respond to a post in a forum, or something
else, you can use Web Visum to solve the CAPTCHA and use Internet Explorer
in the future to just visit the site, or login to your account, provided you
don't have to deal with a CAPTCHA again to prove you're a human, etc.

Firefox is similar to Internet Explorer in terms of accessibility for a
screen reader since there are scripts for Firefox built in/provided with
JAWS. One slight difference is pressing control+l so you can browse to a web
site instead of control+o. There's a couple of tweaks you need to change to
enable JAWS or any other screen reader to be usable with Firefox.

If you do want to try out Firefox, go to www.mozilla.com
and for Web Visum I think the address is still www.webvisum.org.

Hello All,

Does anyone know how to answer captchas easily using JAWS and Internet
Explorer? Every once in a while Gmail locks me out from my e-mail unless I
answer a captcha. Please let me know when you get a moment. I will greatly
appreciate it.

Thank you.
