[Njtechdiv] Windows 10, or not?

A point to consider if thinking of upgrading a computer system. I’m not sure I remember this correctly, but I recently saw a message saying you could upgrade your Jaws software, no matter what version you’re now running, for something like $50. Now I am not sure if this only applies to people attending either the NFB national convention &/or ACB national conventions, and it did state this upgrade was for the Jaws Home edition, not the Professional. I think it might have been an offer through the new merged company between FS & aisquared (excuse spelling). In any case if this is a deal maker, I’d suggest calling Freedom Scientific to find out about specifics.

Good luck.

Hi there
In the end, it your own personal choice and how you use the internet
I like to use the car analogy
Some people get a new car every few years
Others use their car until it has ceased to be
And the majority are in the middle of that
I am using windows 7 very nicely and have jaws 15
so, for me to update I need to get jaws 17 (or the latest 16 build) at a minimum.
My configuration is working perfectly for me and knowing that windows 7 will be suported til Jan. 14 2020
I have chosen for myself to stay with what I have
In addition, I use the iPhone 6 for most everything so I believe the ground is covered.
Finally, who knows where this iWorld will take us in the next few years. . .
My two cents Tracy!!!

Has anyone switched to Windows 10? Was it worthwhile?

I’ve heard some people were happy, and others not.

I’ve been considering switching over, but I’m not sure it’s worth the risk, when Windows 7 is working perfectly well.

Tracy
