[Njtechdiv] Email on Windows 7

I want to set up my husband's email on his Windows 7 computer, using his
Optimum account.  I'm not sure what program to use.  I thought I could use
Windows Live Messenger, but it seemed to want me to create a Windows Live
account, and that's not what I want.

Is there some free program I can use so he can access his email on Optimum,
or do I have to buy Office, or sign up for some email account he doesn't
want?

Whatever program it is has to work well with Jaws.
